Durham Market Hall is just off Durham Market Place. There are two entrances
from the Market Place, the main entrance is to the right of the Market Tavern
pub as you look at it.
When is it open?
The Market Hall is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 4:30pm.
Is there a café in the Market Hall?
Yes, Café Cenno is on the Mezzanine level of the Market Hall.
Are there public toilets in the Market Hall?
Yes, by Café Cenno there are public toilets on the mezzanine level.
Is there Wi-Fi access in the Market Hall?
Yes, there is free Wi-Fi access to patrons of Café Cenno.
Is the Market Hall accessible?
Yes. There is a lift at the back of the Market Hall which can take you from
Back Silver Street up to each level of the Market Hall. There is also an
accessible toilet adjacent to the lift on the main floor of the Market Hall.
This is accessed either by your own RADAR key or by contacting staff on the
number provided for access. Please be aware that the entrances to the Market
Hall off the Market Place are both on a gradient.
Are there baby changing facilities?
Yes, in the accessible toilet adjacent to the life on the main floor of the

What time is the Outdoor Saturday Market open?
The Saturday Outdoor Market is open from 9am to 4pm, every Saturday in
Durham Market Place.
When is the Food Producers’ and Crafters’ Market?
Durham’s Food Producers’ and Crafters’ Market takes place on the first Thursday of
each month. It’s in Durham Market Place, and open from 9am to 4pm. The

Are dogs allowed in the markets?
Dogs are welcome at all outdoor markets. Only assistance dogs are permitted in
Durham Market Hall.
Do I have to pay to enter the markets?
There are no charges to visit the Market Hall, the Outdoor Market, the
Food Producers’ and Crafters’ markets and the Full moon Street food Markets.
Are children welcome at the markets?
Children are welcome at all our markets, and we often have special events for
children, particularly during school holidays. Children should be accompanied
by a responsible adult at all times.
Do all traders accept card payments?
The majority of traders in the Market Hall accept card payments. Please click on each trader in ‘Find a Trader’ to see if they accept payment by cards.
