Bishop Auckland Market Place is the perfect location for a bustling outdoor market.

The Food Producers’ and Crafters’ Market is where you’ll find up to 25 stalls on the final Thursday of each month, open from 9.30am until 3.30pm.  It’s the ideal opportunity to shop with local independent businesses, discover local food, and meet others with a passion for supporting small businesses.

We publish the list of traders a few days before each market, find them both in our website ‘news’ section, and on the Bishop Auckland Market Facebook page.  As well as food and drink suppliers, you’ll find homewares, gifts, plants and more.  There are always a few take-away food stalls too, so why not pop by for lunch?

The re-establishment of markets in Bishop Auckland has been a commitment of former County Councillor Joy Allen, who has worked closely with Durham Markets Company to organise both the Food Producers’ and Crafters’ Markets and Full Moon Street Food Markets and we are grateful to Joy for her ongoing support.
