Madeleine and Astrid do things a little bit differently at Temperance. They approach tarot from a psycho-spiritual perspective, so it’s a therapeutic tarot.
You will get so much more than a card reading when you visit. They facilitate guidance and a self-reflection process, using the tarot system to help you better understand your psyche and how to navigate getting what you want (or rather, what you need) out of life.
Ensuring total privacy, Temperance Tarot Therapy, located on the far left of the market, is an enclosed space that feels like a little sanctuary as soon as you enter. There are a variety of reading lengths to choose from to cater for all needs and budgets.
But that’s not all! Tarot lessons are also available if you would love to learn how to read your cards. You can also visit them for consultations on making space for your spirituality in your everyday life and advice and guidance as you take your witchcraft and spiritual journey.
Madeleine (the Head Witch!) is available Thursday to Saturday, and Astrid, the Reader in Residence, is currently available every Wednesday. She also provides relief cover and is looking to extend her hours in the near future.
Temperance Tarot operates an Angel Fund (Pay it Forward) system. Madeleine set this up to make readings more economically inclusive. Those who are financially fortunate can opt to pay the angel price for their reading, meaning the extra can go towards someone who would love to have a reading but is going through financial hardship.
