Visiting Durham?  Get all the info you need before you arrive

Visitors to Durham often find the city a bit confusing when they first arrive, so we’d recommend planning your visit.  You want to, after all, make sure you visit the World Heritage Site of the Cathedral and Castle, walk the stunning riverbanks of the River Wear, and we know you’ll also want to visit Durham Market Hall.  But as well as planning what you see, you’ll need to consider where you stay and how you get to the city.
