This market is open to established traders and new traders aged under 30

The NMTF’s National Young Traders Market is an annual competition which celebrates the wealth and talent of young entrepreneurs (16-30 years of age). The winner of the Durham heat will attend the North East regional final at Darlington Market, and the winner of that event will attend the National Final in Stratford upon Avon.

Durham Markets Company is holding a regional heat in Durham Market Place on Monday 30th May between 11am and 4pm and is looking for young entrepreneurs to join the market either as an enhanced opportunity for face-to-face selling or an opportunity to market test their product.  Trading at this market is free.  Each participating trader will have a traditional market stall, with a working surface of approximately 8′ x 4′, with a canopy.  You need a table cloth … and your stock!

Please note, there is no electricity available in the Market Place, and diesel generators are not permitted.
